Extend your educational experience by registering for one of two workshops, offered concurrently on Monday, 9 May from 9 - 12 BST. Participants receive a workbook and certificate of completion and may qualify for three hours of continuing education credits.

Option 1: Getting the Best Results from Dispute Boards: What Every Construction Lawyer Needs to Know Whether in-house or outside counsel, construction lawyers representing Employers and Contractors needs to understand the fundamentals of Dispute Board practice, contractual issues, and how to support their clients through key aspects of the dispute avoidance and resolution phases.

Option 2: Writing Effective Advisory Opinions and Decisions Dispute Board members all want to produce opinions and decisions that are accepted by the parties. Explore the fundamentals of informal assistance as well as writing clear and effective Advisory Opinions and Decisions that aid in acceptance by the parties. From what to include (or not include) and oral v written considerations, to guidance on explaining how to break down an effective analysis, this session is designed to strengthen the skills of novice and experienced DB practitioners. Be prepared to put your new skills to work with an interactive exercise to help solidify the techniques. Pre-requisite: DRBF Administration & Practice Workshop or equivalent.
