3rd Biennial IBA Conference on Construction Projects from Conception to Completion

This conference will be of interest to private practitioners, in house lawyers, contract managers and claims consultants.
The event will have particular appeal to younger project lawyers, and, as in previous years, will cover topics in a manner that is accessible to lawyers near the beginning of their careers whilst also appealing to lawyers with many years' project experience.
Topics include:
- Avoiding procurement pitfalls
- Structuring the project
- Alliancing, partnering and supply-chain management
- The project lawyer: the lawyer's role during the construction phase
- Recent developments in dispute resolution

DRBF UK Regional Meeting

Members and those interested in the Dispute Board effort in the UK are welcome to attend the first UK Regional Meeting from 2 - 6 p.m. at the offices of Davies Arnold Cooper.
Topics will include an update on the DB program in place for the 2012 Olympics,
changes to FIDIC DAB procedures, an update on the future plans of the DRBF, and a discussion of current opportunities and challenges facing DBs in the region.

Training Workshop

The popular DRB Administration and Practice Workshop will be held on Thursday, October 2 from 1 to 5 PM, and the Chairing Workshop will be Friday, October 3 from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Common Sense for Construction Conflicts: ADR Options, Success Stories, and Training.
